Dissonant - Consolidated Reality Fragments (2005)

There's something horribly nostalgic about this album, like every riff was ripped straight out of my favorite Super Nintendo games. Bundle that with some awesome vocal phrasing (and fantastic vocals, to boot) and you've got a recipe for a bitchin' death metal band that gets next-to-no recognition. Holy shit, why.

  1. Hey dude,

It's the drummer from Dissonant. Thanks for spreading the music and the hype.

It warms my heart to see that in 2009 people still listen to this album which I'm very proud of.

    Keep it real!

  2. Now I wish I would have said something more about this album, but alas, I made this post during the "I'm not taking this blog too seriously" phase of its lifetime.

If you ever find your way back here, Mr. Karter, know that I adore this album and that it still has a place in my regular listening rotations, if only to bring a little personality to my library.

It really is a cool slice of metal.
